This is a very good biodiversity measure. There must be hundreds if not thousands of similar projects just waiting to happen in the biodiversity rich regions of this planet. This goes to show that once the local people understand the effect of their previous actions, right actions can be implemented to reverse negative environmental trends. Local people needs to be educated about their impacts on the environment and then empowered to do something to make positive changes. Let us hope to see more actions like these. They cost little, do wonders of good and help in local capacity building.
